April 14,2020~
I have uploaded Stonewall Middle School Online Learning Schedule to my files folder.  While all work is optional, I highly recommend students participate to allow them to practice their reading and writing skills. I have an exciting learning opportunity for them using Flipgrid that we will work on for the rest of the school year. Please encourage your child to visit Google classroom.

March 31, 2020
If I have not heard from you child in Google Classroom, I will be reaching out through phone calls and the mail.  I look forward to touching base with everyone.

This week is Virtual Spirit Week! Join us in reconnecting while practicing social distancing. Stay home and let's continue to learn together.

March 23, 2020
**BY ORDER OF THE GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA ALL PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED TO STUDENTS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SCHOOL YEAR! **

To Minimize student stress the following instructional practices are in place:
1. No new graded work should be assigned until further notice (at least April 14,2020).
2. All due dates of previously assigned work should be pushed to at least April  14, 2020 or beyond.
3. All work is optional during this time.
4. No large packets, busy work, or worksheets will be assigned.
5. Teachers can work with students making connections, thinking, and critical questioning.
6. Teachers can and should give helpful growth-productive feedback to students, but not assign any letter or numerical grades.

The PWCS Home Learning page provides many great opportunities for learning during this time at home.  Check it out! https://www.pwcs.edu/cms/One.aspx?portalId=340225&pageId=41506907

I will be assigning optional learning activities and projects on Google Classroom during this time away from school. Students should login with their login: username@stonewallmiddle.com. To access Google Classroom, visit:http://classroom.google.comPlease check Google Classroom for resources and materials for previous assignments, review, and meaningful and fun activities.

If for some reason your child is not in Google Classroom at this time, a code is needed. A list of codes for each class is below:

3A: h34pzvn
3B: cbpnlmh
5A: so6pvsf
5B: x6zvnwd
7A: keurgyk
7B: q3jh2sn

Please email me if your child is unable to log into Google Classroom or ixl.com.

Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.

NEED BOOKS OT READ BUT CAN'T GET OUT?????

Digital library cards are easy to get! Parents can visit this website and sign up for a digital library card. This gives them access to all of our digital resources including Overdrive, Hoopla, and our online databases. It does not give them access to our physical collection. Your child can download books and read them at home without leaving the house.

Please fill out this form (in all CAPS), then click on 'Submit' to create your registration. Your Digital Card gives you access to all of the library's digital services. The Digital Library Card will expire in two years.
